CHAPTER 2: THE SECRET INSIDE THE BILLIONAIRE FAMILY

The room fell silent.
Every sound inside the luxurious hospital suite disappeared.
Even the baby's cries seemed distant.
Dr. Samuel Whitaker stared at the note in his hand.
HE IS NOT SAFE.
THE ACCIDENT WASN'T AN ACCIDENT.
Richard Coleman slowly took the paper.
His face hardened instantly.
“Who wrote this?”
Nobody answered.
Nurse Amanda shook her head.
“It was hidden inside the baby's blanket.”
Isabelle immediately grabbed her son protectively.
“No.”
Her voice trembled.
“No more surprises.”
But Richard was already changing.
The broken father from moments earlier was gone.
The billionaire CEO had returned.
Calm.
Focused.
Dangerous.
He pulled out his phone.
“Shut down this entire floor.”
Everyone stared at him.
He wasn't shouting.
He didn't need to.
Within thirty seconds, six private security officers entered the wing.
Richard pointed at the doors.
“Nobody leaves.”
Then he pointed at the cameras.
“Pull every recording from the last forty-eight hours.”
His chief of security nodded immediately.
“Yes, sir.”
Leo stood quietly near the wall, still holding his trash bag.
Richard looked at him.
“Stay.”
Leo blinked.
“Me?”
Richard nodded.
“Yes.”
Then he turned toward everyone else.
“If someone tried to hurt my son…”
His jaw tightened.
“…I want to know who.”
Dr. Whitaker stepped forward.
“Richard, let's slow down.”
Richard shook his head.
“No.”
He held up the note.
“My son almost died.”
“This was not random.”
Then Isabelle suddenly spoke.
Her voice was barely audible.
“I know who it might be.”
The room froze.
Richard slowly turned toward her.
“What?”
She looked away.
Immediately.
Everyone noticed.
Richard's expression changed.
“Isabelle.”
She swallowed hard.
“There are things I never told you.”
His face instantly hardened.
“What things?”
She burst into tears.
“Not here.”
Richard stared at her for several seconds.
Then nodded.
Everyone moved into a private family consultation room.
Leo quietly sat in the corner.
Nobody asked him to leave anymore.
Richard sat opposite Isabelle.
“Tell me everything.”
She inhaled shakily.
“Three years ago…”
She looked at the baby.
“…someone offered me money.”
The room became silent.
“What kind of money?”
“Twenty million dollars.”
Richard frowned.
“For what?”
She closed her eyes.
“To leave you.”
Everyone froze.
Richard blinked.
“What?”
She nodded.
“Someone wanted our family destroyed.”
Richard sat motionless.
“Who?”
Isabelle whispered.
“Your brother.”
The room exploded.
“No.”
Richard stood immediately.
“Impossible.”
She shook her head.
“I'm sorry.”
Richard stared at her in disbelief.
“My brother Andrew?”
She nodded.
“He came to me after your father died.”
Richard paced the room.
“No.”
“He would never…”
Then he stopped.
His face slowly changed.
Memories.
Pieces.
Small details he had ignored for years.
Andrew questioning every business decision.
Andrew resenting his father's will.
Andrew constantly talking about succession.
Then Richard remembered something.
Their father had left ninety percent of the company to Richard.
Only ten percent to Andrew.
At the time, Richard had felt guilty.
But Andrew had smiled.
Pretended it didn't matter.
Now…
Everything looked different.
Suddenly security rushed inside.
“Sir.”
Richard turned.
“What?”
“We found something.”
A tablet appeared.
Security footage.
Everyone gathered around.
The video showed a nurse entering the baby's room six hours earlier.
She adjusted the blanket.
Then slipped a folded note inside.
Leo squinted.
“That's not a nurse.”
Everyone looked at him.
“What?”
Leo pointed.
“The shoes.”
Whitaker frowned.
“What about them?”
Leo smiled nervously.
“My grandpa used to clean hospitals.”
“Nurses don't wear expensive leather shoes.”
Everyone stared.
Security zoomed in.
Leo was right.
The woman wore designer shoes.
Not hospital-issued footwear.
Richard looked at security.
“Find her.”
The head of security nodded.
Then his earpiece suddenly buzzed.
His face changed instantly.
“Sir…”
“What?”
“We already know who she is.”
He turned the screen around.
Everyone froze.
It was Olivia Grant.
Andrew Coleman's executive assistant.
Richard's body went cold.
“Call Andrew.”
Immediately.
No answer.
Again.
Voicemail.
Again.
Nothing.
Then security spoke.
“Sir…”
“We tracked his phone.”
Richard looked up.
“Where is he?”
Silence.
Then the answer came.
“He's downstairs.”
Everyone froze.
Andrew Coleman was inside the hospital.
At that exact moment.
Richard stormed out.
Security following behind.
The entire wing erupted into movement.
Leo quietly followed.
The elevators opened.
The lobby appeared.
Then they saw him.
Andrew stood near the giant glass entrance.
Perfect suit.
Perfect smile.
Perfect composure.
As if nothing had happened.
Then he saw Richard.
His smile disappeared.
“Well…”
Andrew said softly.
“I guess the secret is out.”
Richard marched toward him.
“Why?”
Andrew laughed.
Not loudly.
Sadly.
“You really don't know?”
Richard stared.
Andrew's eyes suddenly filled with tears.
“For thirty-eight years…”
He smiled bitterly.
“…I've lived in your shadow.”
The room watched silently.
“Dad loved you more.”
“The board trusted you more.”
“The world respected you more.”
Richard shook his head.
“No.”
Andrew laughed again.
“That's easy for you to say.”
Then his face hardened.
“You got everything.”
Richard looked devastated.
“You're my brother.”
Andrew nodded.
“Yes.”
“And that's exactly why it hurt.”
Everyone stood frozen.
Then something unexpected happened.
Leo stepped forward.
Everyone turned.
The boy looked directly at Andrew.
“Can I ask something?”
Andrew blinked.
“What?”
Leo answered honestly.
“Did it make you happy?”
The question pierced the room.
Andrew stared at him.
Leo continued.
“You wanted everything.”
“Did it make you happy?”
Silence.
Twenty seconds.
Thirty.
Then Andrew finally broke.
His shoulders collapsed.
His face crumbled.
And for the first time all night…
He cried.
“No.”
One word.
Tiny.
Broken.
True.
Then police officers entered.
Andrew looked at Richard.
Tears in his eyes.
“I'm sorry.”
Richard looked heartbroken.
Because sometimes…
The worst betrayal doesn't come from enemies.
It comes from wounded people who never learned how to heal.
Then suddenly Isabelle gasped.
Everyone turned.
The baby monitor.
It was flashing.
An encrypted message had appeared.
Unknown Sender.
Richard opened it.
His face instantly changed.
This wasn't over.
The message read:
YOU FOUND THE BROTHER.
May you like
YOU HAVEN'T FOUND THE MASTER.
