Chapter 3: The Switzerland Extraction

Chapter 3: The Switzerland Extraction

The confession from Beatriz did not come easily, but when confronted with the federal charges of international human trafficking, genetic fraud, and illegal imprisonment, her defiance finally shattered. In exchange for a plea deal that would spare her from a lifetime in a maximum-security federal penitentiary, she surrendered the exact coordinates of the alpine estate in Switzerland where the original Mateo was being held.

Alejandro didn't hesitate. Within two hours, his private jet was in the air, soaring through the stormy night sky toward Geneva. He insisted that Rosa come with him, as she was the only person the traumatized child might trust, given her gentle nature and her role in uncovering the truth. The newborn baby was placed under strict medical care at a secured hospital in the city, protected by twenty armed guards.

As the jet cut through the clouds, Alejandro sat across from Rosa, staring out the window into the black void. "Ten years I spent building an empire, Rosa. I thought my father was a god among men. To know that he ruined my life, killed my wife with grief, and enslaved my boy... I feel like my entire existence has been a lie."

"Your father’s legacy is a lie, Mr. Alcázar," Rosa said softly, placing a comforting hand over his trembling knuckles. "But your love for your son is real. That is what survived. That is what we are going to rescue tonight."

At 4:00 AM, the tactical team swarmed a secluded, heavily fortified villa tucked away in the snow-covered mountains of Interlaken. The private security guards hired by Beatriz's corporate allies surrendered almost immediately when faced with federal authorities.

Alejandro burst through the front doors, bypassing his security team entirely. He sprinted down a long, sterile white corridor that felt more like a laboratory than a home. At the very end of the hall was a reinforced steel door with a glass viewing pane.

Alejandro pressed his face against the glass, and his breath caught in his throat.

Sitting on a small bed, surrounded by books and medical monitors, was a young boy. He was thin, pale, with dark messy hair, reading quietly by the dim light of a lamp. He looked exactly like the artist sketches Alejandro had commissioned every year to project what his son would look like as he grew.

"Mateo..." Alejandro choked out. He threw his weight against the door, overriding the electronic lock with a security master-key.

The boy startled, looking up from his book with wide, defensive eyes. "Who are you? Miss Beatriz said no one was allowed in here without her permission."

Alejandro dropped to his knees, completely unbothered by the cold floor, his arms open wide, his voice breaking into profound sobs. "I'm your papa, Mateo. I'm your daddy. I’ve been looking for you for eight years."
