Sophia immediately informed the estate physician.
Within hours Noah was taken to a specialist.
Tests were repeated.

The results shocked everyone.
Noah was not deaf.
Not completely.
His hearing was significantly impaired only because a small object had remained lodged in his ear for years.
An object everyone had somehow overlooked.
When the earplug was carefully removed, Noah reacted to sounds more strongly than ever before.
The doctors were stunned.
